I Love My Work, and It Shows

Richard Davey

I am an enthusiastic individual with a MRes with Distinction in Web Technologies and Security, and a BSc(Hons) in Computing Informatics. I'm very experienced in PHP web development and the latest system design and analysis practises. I enjoy progressing my professional development and working on small projects in my own free time. My research interests cover aspects of social networking, information security, and new web technologies.

I enjoy playing online computer games and going out with friends. I live on the outskirts of Plymouth in Devon with my wife who teaches A Level and GCSE Business and IT at Newton Abbot College. We have a dog called Dexter and enjoy taking him on long walks on the moors and can often be found walking around Burrator Reservoir or Roborough Down.

I frequently develop websites and web applications. In my spare time I have developed several popular Internet applications, such as a Content Management System specifically catered for online gaming communities, a web design feedback community, and a registration-spam blocking service. I'm always eager to meet with like-minded web-eccentric individuals to discuss geeky things, and I'm often helping family and friends with their computer related issues!
